A small town of canals and chocolates this was my first impression of this place.Being born and brought up in desert area of Marwar (rajasthan) I am always fascinated by greenery and water bodies.
Tourists from all over the world come to rajasthan to visit sand dunes in desert but I have appreciation
for lakes canals and gardens .When we reached to Bruges after driving for one and half hour from Brussels (Belgium) I had no words to describe the beauty of this place.
This whole town is full of canals with beautiful houses at the sides of these canals.Cobblestone streets
gives the feel of ancient place.One can see lots of historical buildings.
This place is famous for its chocolates,tapestry and laces.

This town is so much touristic that all the restaurants in market place is always crowded.Do not get surprised if you have to wait for your turn into a restaurant.
One can see buildings and houses as old as 15th century. A ride of horse driven cart makes Bruges all the more interesting.

As this place is at the sea shore so it was an important port for the transportation of goods from eastern europe.Once  Bruges was considered as main commercial city in the world. The concept of share trading originated from this place in early 17th century.this place has been a UNESCO world heritage site since 2000.

Too much sugar is not good for our health.Now a days many people are having diabetes and have to restrict sugar in their diet.But we have taste buds which makes it difficult to control eating sweets 

 

With  this recipe one can enjoy sweet taste without risk of increasing sugar level in their blood

as the sweetening agent used in this dish is dates .

Ingredients required

Dates.   350 gms

Almonds.  50 gms

walnuts  50 gms

pistachio. 50 gms

Figs  4 piece

   Cashews.  50 gms

Deseed all dates and cut into small pieces.In  a pan dry roast all the dry fruits for 1 or 2 minutes so as to remove moisture from these..Chop all the dry fruits into small piecesPlace  a non stick or thick bottemed pan on burner and put all the chopped dates and start stirring on slow flame 

these dates will start melting and turn into a sticky mass.Keep on stirring with some pressure to melt these evenly.

When this is  done then add all the dry fruits into it and mix well.Try to mix all the ingredients and turn it into a sticky mass enough to turn into a crispy pieces after cooling.Grease a plate with ghee and spread the mixture on it.When cooled cut into desired shape.

              तीन दिन इन पेरिस




जिज्ञासा मानव प्रकृति हे। जिज्ञासा पूर्ती के प्रयास में ही मानव मन में यात्रा का शौक पैदा हुआ

विभिन्न स्थानों की यात्रा करने से जो जानकारी मिलाती हे वह पुस्तकों से नहीं मिल सकती है। कई बार हम अपने आस पास के स्थानों को देखने का अवसर भी नहीं मिलता है लेकिन हजारों मील दूर दुनिया घूमने के अवसर मिल जाते है। ऐसा मेरे साथ पिछले पंद्रह सालों में कई बार हुआ है। बच्चों से मिलने के बहाने अमेरिका और यूरोप के बहुत देशों का भ्रमण करने का सौभाग्य प्राप्त हुआ है।
   इस बार पेरिस घूमने का अवसर मिला।करीब पचास साल पहले बॉलीवुड की एक पिक्चर बनी थी नाम था एन इवनिंग इन पेरिस.इस को देखने के लिए जाने वालों में पेरिस शहर को देखने के इछुक भी थे।

पेरिस फ्रांस देश की राजधानी है और फ्रांस का सबसे अधिक आबादी वाला शहर है। पर्यटक भी यहाँ बहुत मिलेंगे।
यह शहर संस्कृति,फैशन ,स्थापत्य कला के लिए मशहूर हे।
पेरिस को फैशन की राजधानी भी कहा जाता हे। इसके कई कारन हे।
सोलहवीं शताब्दी के राजा लुई ने  दअपने महल में  दरबारियों के लिए ड्रेस कोड बनाया था। उसके अनुसार निर्धारित वर्दी पहन कर ही महल में प्रवेश की इजाजत थी।
 उस समय को पेरिस में फैशन की शुरुआत मन जाता हे। उसके बाद में तो विश्व के जाने माने फैशन डिज़ाइनर अधिकतर पेरिस से ही निकले हे।चार्ल्स फ्रेडरिक वर्थ जिसने डिज़ाइनर वस्त्रों की शुरुआत  की थी।  चैन ल,डिओर यह सभी  डिज़ाइनर्स पेरिस के ही हे. विश्व  में सबसे अधिक फैशन शोज     पेरिस  में ही होते  हे।

पेरिस की एक गली 

शहर बहुत ही प्राचीन हे। यहाँ की पेरिस यूनिवर्सिटी यूरोप की पहली यूनिवर्सिटी है। यह शहर साइन  नदी के किनारे बसा हुआ है। साइन नदी के किनारे पर खड़े होने पर यह सोचने मजबूर  हो जाते हे की इंसान ने इस धरती  को संवारने के कैसे कैसे प्रयास किये हे.
प्रकृति ने इस स्थान पर साइन नदी बना कर छोड़ दिया था। लेकिन यहाँ के निवासियों के प्रयासों द्वारा  इसी नदी के किनारे पर भव्य इमारते बनाई गयी।  नदी पर पुल बना कर उसके दोनों और सड़क बनाई गयी। सड़क के नीचे मेट्रो ट्रैन चकई व्यवस्था की गयी। यह मेट्रो ट्रैन एक से अधिक लेवल पर चलती हे। और पेरिस के यातायात का प्रमुख अंग है्‌.

नदी के किनारे बने हुए महल के नीचे बेसमेंट में संग्रहालय बना दिया गया।  . मेट्रो ट्रैन सीधे संग्रहालय के द्वार पर पहुंचा देती हे. इस संग्रहालय में पूरे विश्व के कलाकृतियां जो की हजारों में हे देखने को मिलेगी।
नोट्रे डैम यहाँ का कैथोलिक चर्च है। यह बारहवीं शताब्दी में बनना शुरू हुआ था। यह इमारत फ्रांस गोथिक स्थापत्यकला का अद्भुत नमूना है।इसको देखने के लिए हजारों. पर्यटक प्रतिदिन आते हे। चर्च के बाहर इन पर्यटकों के लिए इतना स्थान  हे की वे वहां खड़े हो कर अपनी बारी का इन्तजार कर सकते हे।

वैसे तो देखने के लिए अनगिनत स्थान हे कि समय काम ही पडेगा। लेकिन प्रमुख दर्शनीय स्थल में यहाँ का म्यूजियम

,एफ्फेल टावर ,नोट्रे डेम एवं वर्सेलस के महल है.
                                                                           

एफिल टावर 

एफिल टावर विश्व की ऊंची इमारतों में से एक है।
यह तीन मंजिल की है और एक हजार फ़ीट से भी अधिक ऊंची है। इस इमारत को देखने पूरे विश्व से पर्यटक आते है।

पुराने शहर की हर इमारत स्थापत्य कला का नमूना पेश करती हुयी नजर आती है।

पेरिस में या ऐसा कहें की यूरोप में बाइसिकल बहुत ही लोकप्रिय हे। पेरिस में तो  साइन नदी के किनारे पर साइकिल रिक्शा भी मिल जाएगी जिसमे बैठ कर पर्यटक नदी पर बने पुल की सैर करते हे।
